What are the different statuses for assets on Nectaro?

Assets on Nectaro can have the following statuses based on borrower payments: 

  • Scheduled: The borrower is making payments on time. 
  • Delayed: The assets is marked as delayed when the borrower fails to make a timely payment within the grace period. 
  • 60+ days late (ERO): Once an assets with an early repayment obligation is 60 days late, the company is obligated to buy it back at its nominal value plus accrued interest. 
  • Paid off: The borrower has fulfilled its obligations or the lending company has fulfilled its early repayment obligations. 

Since all assets on Nectaro have an early repayment obligation, there is no "defaulted" status.

Nectaro is a member of the national investor compensation scheme established under EU Directive 97/9/EC. The scheme protects investors by providing compensation if Nectaro fails to return financial instruments or cash to investors. The maximum compensation an investor can claim under the scheme is 90% of their net loss, up to a maximum of €20 000.
