iPayTax is a new type of investment account from Nectaro, built specifically for Latvian tax residents. Unlike your existing Investment Account, iPayTax doesn't have tax withheld automatically - you receive your investment income in full and report and pay the tax yourself, under Latvia's official "investment account" (ieguldījumu konts) regime. Because nothing is withheld along the way, your money can compound faster over time. iPayTax works alongside your existing Investment Account, it's an additional option, not a replacement. The "investment account" regime operates under Section 11.13 of the Law "On Personal Income Tax," which sets out special rules for determining income from an investment account.
